Job Description: Reporting to the School Principal, this position is responsible for the planning and delivery of classroom-based student instruction consistent with the requirements prescribed by Alberta Education and KTCEA

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized university, with prior teaching experience an asset
  • Current Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Fluency in Cree an asset
  • A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture, organizations, and communities
  • Ability to meet Alberta Education’s Teacher Quality Standard
  • Knowledge of course materials to be taught
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in a land-based education environment an asset
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent public relations and networking skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applications required by the role
