Job Description:
Reporting to the School Principal, this position is responsible for the planning and delivery of classroom-based student instruction consistent with the requirements prescribed by Alberta Education and KTCEA
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized university, with prior teaching experience an asset
- Current Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Fluency in Cree an asset
- A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture, organizations, and communities
- Ability to meet Alberta Education’s Teacher Quality Standard
- Knowledge of course materials to be taught
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Experience in a land-based education environment an asset
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent public relations and networking skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applications required by the role
