Cree language is essential to our core programs and is integrated into all subject areas for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Our Cree Language instructors and specialist develop resources and model lessons for classroom use to build vocabulary and Cree language learning across the curriculum.

KTCEA Elders Speak App

Listen, learn and test your knowledge of Cree with over 900 words in 50 categories spoke by KTC Elders.

The app supports land-based Cree language learning with over 900 words and phrases spoken by Cree Elders from KTC. KTCEA’s free app was launched in 2020.

KTCEA Radio

KTCEA Radio is an education focused radio channel for schools and community members in KTC Nations. The radio is currently streaming online at KTCEA-Radio.ca.

The radio is a resource to engage students and families in Cree language learning, land-based learning and the curriculum. Tune in weekdays 8:30 am to 3:00 pm for local Cree language, cultural and education programming.
