The custodian must be able to work individually and as a team to ensure the cleanliness of the school and surrounding area. They will be responsible for communicating with maintenance staff and their supervisor to ensure the safety of students , staff and visitors. Each position is based on a 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday work schedule, for the school year and a major cleaning three times a year, to be completed during the Christmas break, Easter break and in the Summer. You may be required to work either a day shift or an evening shift as determined by the needs of the Authority.
▪ Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
▪ WHIMIS and First Aid Training is an asset but will train
▪ Willingness to learn
▪ Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of First Nations language, culture,
organizations and communities
