KTCEA is actively seeking a highly motivated educator to serve as a Cree Language Instructor at the Little Buffalo School. Working collaboratively with the principals, teachers, educational assistants and students, the Cree teacher reviews, reinforces and develops Cree language learning by exposing students to the language and structure many times and in many different ways. The Cree teacher is key to ensuring the preservation of the Cree language and integrating Cree into all curricular areas.
- Bachelor of Education
- Eligible for Alberta Teaching
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of First Nation language and culture, organizations, and communities.
- Appreciation for land-based learning
Conditions of Employment: RCMP/Police Criminal Record Check and Intervention Record Check (formerly Child Welfare Check, CWIS) submitted prior to commencement of employment.
