Job Description

Applications are being accepted for the position of ASSISTANT COOK for the Atikameg School lunch program. This position is based on a 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday work schedule, for the school year.
Duties

• Preparation of lunches according to the menu and learning new menu items
• Assisting to prepare enough food for the quantity of students in school
• Daily Duties including the preparation of foods and cleaning of the kitchen and supplies
• Serving of lunches to students and completion of daily clean-up
• Preparing and serving lunches for Professional Development days
• Placing online orders, receiving of grocery orders, and inventory control when required
• Completion of all required paperwork
• Major cleaning of kitchen
• Reporting any safety or cleanliness issues to the Head Cook and Principal
• Receive direction from the Head Cook, Principal and the Food Services Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Conditions of Employment: RCMP/Police Criminal Record Check and Intervention Record Check (formerly Child Welfare Check, CWIS) submitted prior to commencement of employment.
