At-home COVID-19 rapid test kits are available for students and their families at KTCEA schools, beginning Tuesday, January 11, 2022, for schools that are open. Health Centres in KTC communities also have a supply of free rapid test kits for families and community members. Parents may contact the school (teacher or principal) to ask for a kit to be sent home with their child. Each testing kit comes with five tests in the box. If your school is closed, please contact the Health Centre to request a kit.
Important: the test kits cannot sit in cold vehicles and must remain above freezing temperatures or they will not be effective. Instructions for self-testing are in the kits or you can watch this video on how to conduct the self-test. More information is provided on the Alberta Health website.
