Instructional Supports
Whether learning from home or in school, Google Classroom will continue to be the primary platform for ensuring all students follow the KTCEA Common, Consistent Curriculum. Parents with students who are learning at-home and require a device (e.g. Chromebook) and/or need internet connectivity are advised to contact their school principal.
Supporting Students
Students with special needs will continue to receive support. To ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community members, student services will be delivered virtually. This includes occupational therapy, physical therapy, mental health and speech and language services.
Winter Break
There are no changes to winter break dates. At home learning will resume on January 4. In school learning will resume on January 11 for all schools (subject to change).
KTCEA Central Office
Effective November 30 – January 11, 2020, KTCEA central office will be closed. Only essential staff on a “as needed” basis will be permitted to enter the building and must receive prior approval from their supervisor.
Staff
All staff are expected to continue working until the winter break, whether it is at home or in school. Staff will continue to be paid their regular salaries. All staff are encouraged to contact their supervisors regarding working from home or organizing alternative work arrangements.
